10GTEK released QSFP+AOC cable

10Gtek Transceiver Co., Ltd has started batch supplying QSFP+ AOC series product, which length is from 5-150 meters, the fastest lead-time is only within 10 days that will change the delivery bottleneck of QSFP+ AOC products in the market.

QSFP+ products offers the total of 40G Base - 4 channels 10G base data rate and provides 3 times the density of SFP+ ports. At the same time, QSFP+ products meet the standards of Fiber channel, Ethernet and SONET/SDH & InfiniBand.

'faster speed, higher density and lower power' is a widely recognized goal in the construction of data center and the design of high performance computing at present. QSFP+ AOC is becoming the main product in the Green Data Center with its high density, 40Gbase Data rate, cost advantage and low power, and is widely used in the Fujitsu, Google, Amazon project.

QSFP+ AOCs extremely low power consumption of only 0.78W per cable end improves overall data center power consumption and thermal efficiency. AOCs reduced cable bulk compared to larger diameter copper cabling enable deployment of additional ports for increased number of AOCs per system, resulting in more connectivity options and total system cost savings. Four bi-directional optical data links per end each operate at data rates from 1.0 to 10.325 Gbps and are compatible with multiple protocols including InfiniBand* single data rates (SDR), dual data rates (DDR) and quad data rates (QDR), Ethernet systems (10 and 40 Gbps), Fibre Channel (8 and 10 Gbps), SAS (6 Gbps).

The AOCs can be expanded for greater transmission capacity, including CXP (120Gbps), and MiniSAS(HD).
