How to Distinguish M.2 NVMe SSD and M.2 SATA SSD
When identifying your drive, please take into account that there are a number of different drives that share certain characteristics.
For example, M.2 SSDs can be SATA drives or NVMe drives depending on the type of M.2 connector.
It seems that SATA drives or NVMe drives share the M.2 interface, but the two M.2 interfaces owns different key configuration.
Below figure shows the difference between B.key and M.key.
One thing to notice that there is another connector called B & M key, which combine the b.key and m.key.
Take our product NV95N4 as an example. It has two different M.2 connectors. One is M.key, while another is B.key. But things are clear. B.key is for SATA SSD. M.key is for PCIe NVMe SSD. Two SSD use different protocol, so they can work simultaneously.
