NCTA Chief Helps Out SCTE Ed Program

EXTON, Pa. -- The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth today announced that Michael Powell, president and CEO of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), will serve as the featured guest presenter when the SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program is held April 28-May 3, 2013, at the Tuck School of Business on the Dartmouth College campus.

Powell, who served as Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from 2001-2005 and was an FCC Commissioner for eight years, will offer valuable perspectives on the industry that will complement the business and leadership topics in the SCTE-Tuck curriculum. The Powell session is expected to be among the highlights of the week-long course at the Tuck School in Hanover, N.H.

An immersive environment designed to promote learning and collaborative thinking, the SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program and a companion initiative, the SCTE-Georgia Tech Management Development Program, have attracted more than 120 executives from the industry in less than two years. Both programs leverage world-renowned faculty resources and encourage close working relationships among Operators, Vendors and Programmers.
